Finding independent seatwork for primary grade students that improves phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, word recognition, & fluency can be very challenging. The beginning and advanced Animated Literacy workbooks were developed for this purpose. The beginning workbook begins with mixed up sentence puzzles that combine high frequency words with words from the drawing and labeling lessons. The beginning workbook then moves on to mixed up song puzzles for the shortest Animated literacy songs. Finally, the beginning workbook provides labeling activities that teach phrase construction and vocabulary by combining nouns from the draw to read and write component of Animated Literacy with verbs and adjectives from books that are read aloud to the class.
