The AL Picture Book Part 1 provides illustrated stores, gestures for sounds, and phonemic awareness songs for Actress Annie, Baby Barnaby, and Crazy Camel. Each of the 45 Animated Alphabet Stories includes the 5 critical elements needed for a complete story: 1. Characters, 2. Setting, 3. Problems to be resolved, 4. Actions undertaken to resolve problems, and 5. Feelings of Success or failure in resolving problems. Because the stories are complete, they are appropriate for use in retelling, sequencing, and comprehension activities.
